WOW! Take that all of you iPhone "oh Apple is the most secure products in the world" fanatics!
Apple is set to release a new iOS update that will specifically fix flaws in the operating system that were found to allow complete compromise of the devices.
From the article located here;
Affected components are Safari and WebKit, the open-source engine used to render web pages. The most serious of the bugs is a "memory corruption" defect that can lead to the remote execution of malicious code
I would suggest that as soon as this update becomes available, stop what you are doing and take the time to update these devices. With the BYOD initiatives being pushed at various levels within Organizations, having devices that have security vulnerabilities are equal to leaving the front doors wide open. The average person could care less, but more and more professional hackers will utilize these vulnerabilities to exploit your device.
Some may say "oh, these are just rumors", but take a good look at your system and web logs. Guaranteed that if you know what you are looking at, you WILL find a great deal of attacks going on every minute of everyday. As I have said before, The Devil IS in the Details!
Stay safe and secure!
